Results Matter

Results are why we do things. We want an action to our action. We understand this, which is why we practice esthetics and massage. We love to see the results.

And we know that managing the results of something is important and requires communication and understanding. Results can be measured in pictures, our impression or feeling about something, and in more scientific ways. Here’s how we manage results:

  1. We often take a photo of you when you come in for the first time. If your appointment is for a facial, you are asked to complete a consultation form and include a photograph. Whether it is for a breakout concern, redness, firmness of skin, or other reasons, we use that photo to compare to after a treatment (don’t worry, we don’t publish any photos that anyone can recognize). There is power in seeing the results.
In the massage world, we use a backdrop that helps us see your posture and how your body is functioning. This helps us to determine and confirm your concerns and how best to correct them.

  2. We ask you how you are doing. We really do want to know. I’ve had clients tell me things that may seem very unrelated, but they really do make a difference in the treatment plan decisions I make. If something in your world changes or things begin to improve or get worse, we want to know.

  3. We make recommendations and ask for your help. We are with you for an hour or an hour and a half per visit. It’s really hard to change something in that small amount of time without a plan of action. Sometimes that action includes a stretch, a product, or eliminating a product. Sometimes it is a certain number of treatments in an agreed-upon time frame. Whatever it is, we'll talk about it with you. We ask you for input. It is not a mandate. The relationship we build with you to assist you with your goals is of the utmost importance to our results. We want you to improve.

  4. Sometimes it is just about being on the table and having an hour to yourself. Relaxing and reconnecting with your spirit is one of the best things you can do for yourself. If that is the focus, we strive to nurture you and support you during that time. It is not indulgence, it is revitalization of yourself. Refilling the cup you pour from for all those you care for.

  5. Lastly, your self-care is something that means something different to each person. We meet you where you are along this path. We will offer guidance or hold space for you. We want you to feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable. When we are providing a treatment, that is our only focus. Providing services is our passion and our privilege, as we know there are many things you can choose to do for self-care.
